A Level Electronics
A Level Electronics is designed to teach you essential scientific knowledge and to develop your confidence and competence in a variety of practical and problem-solving skills.
The scope of the course is quite broad, enabling the development of skills in a range of theoretical, practical, industrial and environmental contexts.
Fundamental to the study of electronics are the core concepts, which are directly assessed in component 1 and 2 and are essential for the successful competition of component 3:
– System synthesis
– DC electrical circuits
– Input and output sub-systems
– Energy and power
All students studying A Levels should have at least five GCSEs at grade 9 – 5 in academic subjects, including English Language at grade 5. Two of these should be grade 6. Specifically for Electronics you will need to have GCSE Maths at grade 6 or above and Science at grade 5/5 or above.
