  • Examinations: These will assess your understanding of core scientific principles, laboratory techniques, and data analysis.
  • Coursework Projects: Practical coursework projects will evaluate your ability to apply your knowledge in a laboratory setting.
  • Employer Set Project (ESP): A real-world task set by an employer, designed to assess how you approach challenges in a workplace setting. This allows students to demonstrate their practical skills and knowledge in a real-world context.
  • Practical Assessments: Practical exams and assessments will allow you to showcase your technical skills and competency in laboratory work.

There are a variety of progression routes available to you:
• University: The T Level qualification is widely recognised and provides a strong foundation for students wishing to continue their studies at university. You can progress to university to study degree courses in laboratory sciences, medical sciences, biomedical science, chemistry, or environmental science.
• Apprenticeships: Alternatively, you could pursue an apprenticeship in a specific laboratory science field, working alongside professionals to gain further practical experience.
• Employment: This qualification opens the door to a wide range of job opportunities, such as laboratory technician, research assistant, forensic scientist, or roles within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, environmental science, or biotechnology.
