Peer-on-peer abuse
We recognise that abuse can happen between young people, whether in person or online. Our staff are trained to spot the signs and take any concerns seriously, however small. If you feel worried about yourself or someone else, we are here to help.
You’re not alone. If you’ve experienced abuse or harassment, or just want advice, our team is ready to listen and support you.
You can also contact the NSPCC’s Report Abuse in Education helpline. It’s free, confidential, and available for anyone affected by sexual abuse or harassment in education. Call 0800 136 663 or email [email protected] anytime.
Online safety
Staying safe online is essential. Here are some key tips from the UK Safer Internet Centre to help you protect yourself:
- Think carefully before posting, remember that online content can last forever
- Report anything that makes you uncomfortable and use blocking tools when needed. Don’t hesitate to ask for help
- Don’t give in to pressure online – once sent, messages or images can’t be taken back
- Respect copyright and use legal services for music, films, and TV
- Always credit your sources when sharing others’ work or ideas.
The CEOP Safety Centre offers support for anyone under 18 who is pressured or forced into sexual activity, online or offline. Visit their website to find out how to report concerns and get help.
If you’re worried or need support, please talk to someone at reception, email [email protected], or call 0121 667 5101 to reach a Safeguarding Officer.
