Student Life

Life on our centrally located campus means you won’t be short of places to eat, drink and refuel during your study breaks, or big-name shops where you can access Unidays and Totum student discounts to look your best for less and express your individuality.

As for entertainment we regularly host film nights and go on theatre trips to see live productions. Getting active is easy on our Go Ape adventures or by competing in the college sports teams.

Through the Student Union and our college committees, you can get involved in volunteering, enterprise, fundraising projects or the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. We run societies like the Medical Society for you to join and we organise events and festivals to celebrate our inclusive and diverse community.

Central Saint Michael’s has a unique and welcoming feel. This is the place you’ll call home for the next two years, and where you’ll be challenged to push yourself to your full potential to get those university grades.

The Campus

Opened by HRH Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh in 2014, the former The Public art gallery has been transformed into a striking study hub. There are five floors of ultra modern facilities in this distinctive and vibrant campus, including an arts café, film & media room, recording studio, art workshop, science laboratories, break out pods, IT suites, solo study spaces, a fully equipped learning centre, professionally lit drama theatre, digital Fab Lab with VR/AR tech and an engineering laboratory. Here you’ll find the perfect balance between serious study and relaxed learning with flexible work areas and social spaces. A wide selection of textbooks, journals, digital resources and specialist databases are available to you to access. In the Arts Café you can listen to music concerts, grab a quick bite between lectures, or catch up with friends for lunch.

Student Life

For when you’re not studying we offer a whole range of enrichment activities which are not only good fun but help you make friends, develop new skills and add to your CV and university applications. There are trips and visits to bring your studies to life, and you can get involved in sport, the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, debating and many other activities.
