Prestigious London Drama School Place for Successful Actress Mya

Remember the name Mya Kandola! Mya is one of our future stars in the making and she is off to one of the UK’s most prestigious drama schools.
Mya, who made her screen debut last year as Sophie in Sainsbury’s Christmas campaign with the BFG, got Distinction* in Applied Psychology plus A and B in her Film and Drama A Levels.
She will be studying a BA (Hons) Acting Degree at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama after excelling at audition and receiving an unconditional offer for one of their most competitive courses.
The RCSSD’s famous alumni include acting legends Dame Judi Dench, Sir Laurence Olivier and Vanessa Redgrave.

Mya, who appeared live on Good Morning Britain for results day, said: “I’m sad to leave Central Saint Michael’s but ready to move on and ready for the next step.”
Mya’s Drama & Theatre Lecturer Amy Davies said: “The RCSSD attracts a significant number of applicants annually and has an acceptance rate of around 1-2%, which just highlights Mya’s achievement.”
