We’re looking forward to our October Open Days at Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form College. Whether you’re excited about exploring new subjects, meeting new people, or exploring our facilities, we’ve got some tips to make the most of your visit.
- Talk to current students
Our students will be available at the open days so you can find out what life is really like at Central Saint Michael’s. Why not ask your questions to the students who are already here? Whether this is about the workload, life at the college, the best study spots or the best lunch places, they’re there to help you.
- Chat with subject teachers
If you’re interested in a subject the best thing you can do is talk to the people who will be teaching it. They can help explain to you about their course, but also make sure it’s the right course for you and your career plans. When you talk to them, you’ll get to know if their teaching style will be suited to you!
- Tour the building – you’ll be spending a lot of time here
Central Saint Michael’s building is extremely unique. Opened by HRH Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh in 2014, the former The Public art gallery has been transformed into a striking study hub. There are five floors of ultra-modern facilities in this distinctive and vibrant campus, including an arts café, film & media room, recording studio, art workshop, science laboratories, break out pods, IT suites, solo study spaces, a fully equipped learning centre, professionally lit drama theatre, digital Fab Lab with VR/AR tech and an engineering laboratory.
- Hear from the Principal
Our Principal Matt Lamb’s talk is great to listen to! You’ll get to hear about what makes Central Saint Michael’s such a great college to attend and hear about all the exciting plans in the pipeline.
- And lastly, don’t worry! There will be lots of staff and students there to help you. You will be given a map so you know where you’re going and don’t need to worry about getting lost!
