Management Apprentice Nicole Meets Mayor of West Midlands

As she embarks on a management career with a major retailer, Central Saint Michael’s student Nicole got the opportunity to meet the Mayor of the West Midlands.

Nicole, who studied Politics, History and English A Levels, shared with Mayor Richard Parker that she is now going on to a three-year management apprenticeship with Aldi after demonstrating her drive and ambition in the competitive interview process.

She said: “I’m starting my apprenticeship in September, which will give me a lot of hands-on experience and qualifications at the same time. It’s your drive and your work ethic that defines you, not just your grades.”

The Mayor said: “Nicole’s story is a reminder that A Level results are just one chapter. Today, our region still offers countless ways to learn, with routes into work, training and further study for everyone.

“My Growth Plan for the region sets out our commitment to making available the training and opportunities that young people need to secure good jobs. I’m committed to unlocking them for young people across our region.”
