Everything you need to know before you enrol!

Starting college is an exciting step and we’re here to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible.

Whether you’ve already applied, are waiting for your GCSE results or are getting ready to enrol, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re asked most often. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, our Admissions Team will be happy to help.

Before GCSE Results Day

Once you’ve submitted your application, our Admissions Team will keep you updated throughout the process. If you’ve been invited to an interview or offered a place, we’ll let you know what happens next and send you everything you need to prepare for enrolment. Keep an eye on your emails, including your junk folder, and post, so you don’t miss any important updates.

We’ll contact you before enrolment begins with details of when and where to attend early August. Your email and letter will include everything you need to know to prepare for enrolment, including what to bring with you. If you have not received the information for any reason, please email [email protected]

Yes. It’s not too late to apply. You can apply online or simply turn up to one of our enrolment sessions so we can go through the whole process for you, on the same day.

Absolutely. Parents, carers and guardians are welcome to attend enrolment with you. Our team will be happy to answer any questions and explain what happens next as you prepare to start college.

How to enrol at Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form

Whether you’ve already applied or are just getting started, enrolling at Central Saint Michael’s is simple. Simply follow the steps below to secure your place and start your journey with us.

Steps to enrol for school-leavers:

Step 1: Collect your results – Thursday 20 August

You’ll need your GCSE or equivalent results when you come in to enrol, so keep them safe.

Step 2: Visit us on campus

Enrolment takes place in person. If you have applied, you will be invited to enrol on a set day and time. However, if you can’t attend, you can drop by anytime on our open enrolment days.

School leavers start enrolling from Thursday 20 August, and continue on the following dates:

  • Thursday 20 August, 12pm – 7pm
  • Friday 21 August, 10am – 4pm
  • Saturday 22 August, 11am – 3pm
  • Monday 24 August, 10am – 7pm
  • Tuesday 25 August, 10am – 7pm
  • Wednesday 26 August, 10am – 7pm
  • Thursday 27 August, 10am – 7pm
  • Friday 28 August, 10am – 4pm
  • Tuesday 1 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Wednesday 2 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Thursday 3 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Friday 4 September, 10am – 4pm
  • Saturday 5 September, 11am – 3pm
  • Monday 7 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Tuesday 8 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Wednesday 9 September, 10am – 7pm
  • Thursday 10 September, 10am – 4pm
  • Friday 11 September, 10am – 4pm
  • Saturday 12 September, 11am – 3pm

Step 3: Bring your documents

To enrol, you’ll need:

  • Your exam results
  • One form of ID (such as a passport, birth certificate, driving licence, National Insurance card or bank card)

Step 4: Meet the team

You’ll sit down with tutors to confirm your course and have an opportunity to ask any questions.

Step 5: Get your ID and timetable

Once you’ve enrolled, we’ll give you your student ID and a Student Welcome Pack which details your first day of term and supporting information so you’re ready to start.

Step 6: Want to change course?

No problem. Let us know during enrolment or give us a call on 0800 622 006 and we’ll talk you through your options.

Enrolment is your opportunity to confirm your place and get ready to start college. You’ll meet with our team, discuss your GCSE results, confirm your course and complete your enrolment. You’ll also receive important information about starting college and have the chance to ask any questions.

Don’t worry, please still come along to enrolment.

Our team will discuss your results with you and help you explore the options available. With over 30 A Levels and BTEC courses and progression pathways, we’ll work with you to find the right next step so you can continue working towards your future goals.

If your results are better than expected, we’ll be happy to review your options during enrolment. We’ll talk through the opportunities available and help you choose the course that’s right for your ambitions.

Yes. If you’ve changed your mind since applying, speak to our team during enrolment. We’ll discuss your interests and career goals and help you explore the courses available so you can make the right choice. We would recommend coming along to enrolment as soon as possible.

Yes. If you missed your interview, don’t panic. Please see us at one of our enrolment sessions to enrol. We’ll discuss your application and help you with the next steps.

Getting Ready for College

You’ll receive your timetable during induction. When you enrol, your tutor will confirm when your induction starts.

You will receive your student ID when you enrol and your FREE bus pass during induction.

Your start date and first-day arrangements will be confirmed during enrolment. We’ll provide all the information you need before your course begins.

Starting somewhere new can feel like a big step, but you won’t be on your own. From Student Services and Learning Support to wellbeing, careers advice and financial support, we’re here to help you settle in and succeed throughout your time at college.
