Drama Students Compete With Meaningful Monologue Performances

AS Drama students at Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form recently demonstrated the depth of their developing performance skills in a focused monologue competition designed to stretch their creativity and technical ability.

Sixteen students delivered individual monologues, each showing disciplined character work, emotional control, and confident stage craft. The competition provided a valuable platform for learners to apply classroom learning in a real performance environment, strengthening communication skills, resilience, and the ability to interpret complex material under pressure.

Second-year Drama students took on the role of judges, offering structured critique and gaining experience in evaluation, leadership, and peer assessment.

Campus Principal Navjot Kaur said: “This event highlighted how performance-based assessments build work-ready skills, support progression into further study and creative industries, and reinforce the high-quality teaching and learning taking place across Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form.”
