Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form proudly celebrated the achievements of its latest Learner of the Month award winners at the first awards event of the academic year, recognising students who continue to demonstrate outstanding commitment, ambition and dedication to their studies and college life.
The awards shine a spotlight on students who go above and beyond, celebrating their hard work, positive attitudes and determination to succeed both academically and personally. Each nomination reflects the progress, achievements and individual journeys of learners who are making the most of their time at Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form.
The celebrations were hosted by Lisa Capper, CEO & Principal of The Sandwell Colleges, with Anne Frost, Chair of the Board at The Sandwell Colleges, joining as the special guest.
Anne shared insights into her own career journey, giving students the opportunity to hear about her professional experiences and the path she had taken to reach her current position. Students were fascinated by her story and asked some fantastic questions, showing their curiosity and enthusiasm to learn from the experiences of others.
The event also provided an opportunity to recognise the individual stories behind each nomination. Emma Brannen, Senior Vice Principal, and Billy Coughlin-Miller, Director of Academic Standards and Progress, proudly read out the nominations, highlighting the inspiring achievements, personal journeys and progress of the award winners.
At Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form, celebrating student success is an important part of college life. The Learner of the Month awards recognise not only academic achievement but also the dedication, resilience and positive contributions that help students thrive and prepare for their next steps, whether progressing to university, employment or further training.
