Work experience student

Congratulations to Central Saint Michael’s student Kiranjot who has successfully secured a paid work experience placement at Ashurst, one of London’s leading global law firms.

Kiranjot is only in her first year of sixth form, studying A Level Psychology, Law and Criminology. But her desire to work alongside some of the best in the industry and gain real-life legal skills led her to apply for Ashurst’s summer vacation scheme, with some valuable assistance from work experience officer Rajinder Bharaj and her form tutor Dr David Craik.

Stepping into the shoes of a trainee at Ashurst, Kiranjot will spend time building her knowledge of different areas of law, getting to know practice groups, learning more about the work they do, the clients they work with and experiencing Ashurst culture.

Kiranjot says: “I’m looking forward to seeing how cases are handled and learning how it is to work in a legal practice. I want to study criminal law and become a solicitor, so this will help my communication skills and collaborative skills, seeing how everyone works in the team.”
