We’re proud to share that Michaël Lacoult, head of French at Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form, has been recognised by the Sandwell-Le Blanc Mesnil Twinning Society with a certificate and medal for his outstanding contribution to language learning and cultural exchange.
Michaël’s award reflects the energy and expertise our teachers bring to the classroom — inspiring students to not just learn a language, but see the world differently, grow their confidence, and embrace new global perspectives.
Last year members of the Twinning Association hosted four French students and Sandwell members in their homes and prepared an exciting programme of visits to an aviation museum north of Paris, formerly in occupied France, and to a privately owned château, which had been in the owner’s family for centuries. Other visits included the city of Amiens on the Somme and the Palace of Fontainebleau.
Michaël said: “We hope to develop even more links with young people in Le Blanc Mesnil and facilitate more exchange visits.”
